From ICE Primer: A Tobacco Control Research Methodology Primer

Contents

Welcome to the ICE Primer

This wiki is a collaborative site designed to produce a primer on tobacco control research methodology. The target audience for this wiki is investigators who are new to tobacco control (whether they are new investigators, or just new to tobacco control).

This primer is intended to give an overview of commonly used methods and research tools used in tobacco control research through a series of short, linked articles. The outline below includes a range of topics. In some cases, the article is not yet written. Those from the tobacco control research community should feel free to contribute by adding to articles, authoring articles in the outline and/or by adding articles to the outline.

This primer is an activity of the Interdisciplinary Capacity Enhancement Program - A Pan-Canadian Resource Network for Tobacco Control Research, Policy & Practice(ICE-PRN). ICE programs are an initiative of the Canadian Tobacco Control Research Initiative, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the National Cancer Institute of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Health Canada.
